Fistaz Mixwell
Fistaz Mixwell born on 22 April 1976 hails from a small town in the North West Province of S.A called Mafikeng where he studied and finished school. He later moved to JHB to further his studies in Civil Engineering, his passion for music was so great it over shadowed hi studies. In 1994 he started his career in radio, in that year he met up with the forerunners of this immaculate movement (Iggy Smallz Oskido, Dj SBu) for sure is what lead him to engrave his name into the industry books. On that tip he’s also worked with the likes Bruce “Dope” Sebitlo and Skizo to bring us his first offering “It’s Time” in 1999. He has been cosistant in his carrier as all his compilations have been filled with original produced tracks and we’ve been given floor fillers.
The gentleman is renowned for deep confab sets in clubs all over the world. He’s has established himself as a prominent figure in S.A’s music and entertainment industry, working with the likes of Kenny Khunene at his infamous ZAR club. He’s also joined forces with Tbo Touch of Metro FM fame, a stationed he joined in 2004 as a music manager which had a listenership of 5.5 million, two years later he catapulated the listership to 6million through innovative style.
He has once again given us Addictiv certainly upholds the high standard set by this deep house legend. Seems nothing will stop dis man from spinning them vinyl’s. Thirteen magnificent melodies that hit all the right notes with no pitches in site, this is definitely a quality release and worthy of any deep house lover’s collection.
